Rebecca Gates, LPC, LMHC, LMSW, SEP

I want to help you thrive.

I consider it an honor to be a therapist.

I grew up in a small town outside of Detroit Michigan with my parents, our dog, and most of my childhood three birds and whatever other small pets I could talk my parents into. I distinctly remember as a little girl saying I wanted to help others but had no idea what that would come to mean or look like. I am so thankful that life with all of its twists and turns has brought me to a place of private practice. Getting to work one on one with clients to see goals met, work thru past hurt, and work to build capacity in order to live a fully embodied life is truly an honor.

When I am not working I am enjoying down time, playing with my dog Otis, or soaking up time with my dear friends and family. Whenever I am able I try to travel. Seeing new places, enjoying good/new food, taking in music and hearing others’ stories while traveling is my happy place and respite.

I have experience working in shelters, youth centers, schools, and group practice as a social worker and counselor. However, I am so happy to say that I was able to open this practice in 2022 so that now I am able to fully focus my work with clients. Most of my clients have experienced childhood, relational, or sexual trauma of some kind and/or are in a place in life where negative believes are feeling like walls keeping them from fully thriving and living the life they truly want to enjoy.
